“Symphony No. 6” still amazes me. Speechless. Where did such a masterful work come from? Stronger and more vibrant than “The Rite of Spring” and “Pictures at an Exhibition” performed by Tomita. Who are you, Marcelo? What talent, my God. I’ve already understood that your music is for the chosen few. I, who am unconstrained inside, have felt it with my whole being. I think I’m beginning to heal. The search, the discovery, and fulfillment. Grieving with pain, through a winding path, I enter, through the magical sounds of music, into a confusing, dormant, insecure world. I’m afraid, but I continue… the power of the music takes hold of my brain, my solar plexus, and compels me to continue. To the beat of the notes and the choir that sings them, one by one, like flowers opening at dawn, the cells, greeting each other, signaling each other, have realized that they must begin to “work,” to organize together with the nerves, the veins, my inner world. Everything resounds, the “iron and steel,” the “nails and the hammer” … they destroy atrophied nerves, diseased cells, mutated genes, they destroy and build, and weave, weave, like a spider’s web. They build it from doubts with answers; from hope with faith.

I descend and realize that it’s Hell. Everything is dark, gloomy, terrifying. I observe and observe, I understand that this is not my world, and I ascend: all is peace, tranquil serenity… I am seeing myself, I am finding myself… at last, I perceive with the sweet song of the choir the essence that humanity has lost in its sin… And, I begin to “be.” I am, I am, I am me, oh! Shock! Everything now flows harmoniously. The piano notes tell me that finally, everything is in order. I am no longer afraid; there is light; there is forgiveness; there is love, there is eternity. You have become a “Doctor of Souls,” Marcelo. Thank you so much. When you tell me you’re stressed or tired, I’ll send you to listen to Symphony No. 6 by a great musician named Marcelo Rago. Give it to him and then tell me. How do I expect you to tell me what you feel in your head when you compose such beautiful and intense music? A big, big hug, dear Marcelo, and thank you again.
